Bait Fishing to be Allowed in PA’s Delayed Harvest Special Regulation Areas
Pennsylvania has about 104 miles of Delayed Harvest Artificial Lures Only (DHALO) areas within the state. The ten PA Fish and Boat Commissioners have set forth a change in the regulations which will make substantial changes to the regulation and essentially open it to bait fishing during the prime trout fishing season from spring stocking thru the summer beginning in 2016. There are numerous changes and you can read all about them here. If the Commission follows through with enacting this proposal other Special Regulation areas including Catch & Release Fly Fishing only areas are at risk in the future. We can’t let this happen.
